Test results for 2005-2006 are pouring in from ENI customers

nationwide. We appreciate hearing from you and sharing in

your excitement.  A sampling of successes follows:

On August 25th, Tulsa Public Schools (OK) celebrated a

front page article in the Tulsa World that told how 18 more

TPS schools moved off the school improvement list this year.

This continues a pattern of strong, steady growth in

achievement over the past two years.

The same article announced that Washington Elementary in neighboring Sapulpa Public Schools (OK) also moved off the list.  Following two great years of meeting AYP, scores in Washington Elementary are at the top of the district in some grades and subjects.

After their first year of using ENI assessment items, Dinuba Unified School District (CA) saw sizeable jumps in its elementary math proficiency.  For some grades, the number of students reaching proficiency was double last year.

In the Land of Lincoln (IL), both Zion and Hazel Crest school districts are reporting that their preliminary scores have people excited.  Watch for more details as the data is finalized.

Long-time ENI partner, Lorain City Schools (OH), had a great year, especially with their new, smaller high schools.

We’re sorry we didn’t have room to describe outstanding results for all ENI customers.  If we didn’t feature your story this issue, please contact us.  We are always pleased to share stories that can assist and encourage others.

If you had the chance to read the article about ENI’s Assessment and Curriculum Department (OnTarget, January 2006), you are familiar with the stringent process we follow to produce the best products for schools.  To maintain our high standards, we hire only the most qualified curriculum writers.  So it is with pride that we announce the addition of Debbra Coleman to our writing staff.

Debbie graduated with an education degree from Southwestern Union College in Texas where she was already writing curriculum and tests for an early childhood education program being developed by the college.  Debbie went on to teach K-8 for nearly two decades.  During that time, she became deeply involved in the assessment process.  She then joined Harcourt Assessments as a Math Assessment Specialist and honed her skills in test development.  When she moved to the Phoenix area, ENI did not hesitate to bring her on board.

Debbie is a mother and an adoring grandmother of two.  She

loves to read, hike, bird-watch, and travel.  Her experiences

and sense of adventure surely provide great material for her

writing. Please welcome Debbie to ENI!  You can contact

Debbie at dcoleman@evansnewton.com.
