The ENI Way
Elizabeth Menchaca, Vice President of Academic Service, will present an overview of the Evans Newton Incorporated (ENI) Transformation and Turnaround Model, TargetTeach®. This process has a long track record of raising student performance in districts with diverse and high-poverty student populations. With TargetTeach®, administrators gain an understanding of the root causes of low student achievement. Secure in the knowledge that curriculum is aligned and properly sequenced to state standards, school leaders have more time to focus on building a positive learning environment for students, promote staff morale, and reach out to families and communities.
Leading the Transition to CCSS
Cheryl Tibbals, ENI Senior Advisor Product Development and Implementation, will introduce a session where leaders will have the opportunity to breakout into smaller sessions and engage in an interactive group activity that will reveal some of the challenges that the new CCSS present for schools. Leaders will also discuss and share their ideas about how the CCSS will change the roles of students, teachers, and, in particular, school and district leaders.
